Soul King (魂王)

Passive: Soul Style

The Soul Style meter will build up as you damage your opponent with the Soul King moveset.

There are four different ranks (C, B, A and S-Rank) that you build up to. Each Soul King move contributes a different amount of meter.

Landing the same move twice in a row reduces the Soul Style meter by 25%.

Landing a variety of moves (five or more consecutively) will increase the gain values by 15%.

Venting reduces the Soul Style meter by 25%.

Most moves have a Bonus Effect to increase Soul Style gain, listed below in the moveset.

Spiteful Blows

Scaling: Technique & Strength Black Flash

Kick your opponents skyward, planting blood onto them before bashing them back into the floor. On retrig, detonate the blood dealing additional damage. Blood will detonate automatically after 30 seconds and the skill will be put on a 20 second cooldown. Blood detonation damage also scales with Strength.

Bonus Effect: If the detonated blood lands while the opponent is in the air, gain 2x Soul Style points and a 25% damage increase to the detonation.

Bonus Effect: If the detonation causes a guard break, gain 2x Soul Style points and a 25% damage increase to the detonation.

Don’t Blink

Scaling: Technique Black Flash

While aiming at a target, rapidly approach them and punch them in the gut dealing a second impact of damage.

Spliced Cannon

Scaling: Technique Guard Break Hyperarmor Black Flash

Cut out two chunks of debris from the ground, rapidly launching them towards your target. First piece of debris Guard Breaks, the second one is blockable.

Bonus Effect: If any of the rocks hit your target while they are midair, teleport to your opponent and slam them into the ground to initiate a combo starter.

Spliced Cannon (Charged ver.)

Scaling: Technique Guard Break Hyperarmor Black Flash

Holding down the keybind for roughly one second, cut out two chunks of debris from the ground. Dice the first piece of debris into several smaller pieces, launching them into your opponent. Then, blast the larger piece of debris towards your target. First piece of debris is blockable, the second one will Guard Break.

Bonus Effect: If any of the rocks hit your target while they are midair, teleport to your opponent and slam them into the ground to initiate a combo starter.

Dismantled Soul

Scaling: Technique Black Flash

Cut out a star pattern into the floor, dismantling anyone within. Stuns opponent briefly. Base rank gain is 50% and can be increased with the bonus effect.

Bonus Effect: Every rank after C rewards an additional 10% base rank gain on hit. B-Rank grants you 60% of a meter. A-Rank grants you 70% of a meter.

Superhuman Blitz

Scaling: Technique Guard Break Hyper Armor Black Flash

Rapidly dash to your opponent and grab them before slamming them towards the direction you are aiming. If nobody is caught in the dash, slam the ground causing AoE damage and a Guard Break. Also gain Hyperarmor during the dash.

Bonus Effect: Hitting an opponent in the “sweet spot” of the hitbox (end of the dash) will deal increased damage and Soul Style gain.

Domain Expansion: Hometown Memories

The ultimate technique. Within this domain, every 10 seconds all opponents will receive a skill check. Failure to complete the skill check will cause your opponents to be damaged and stunned, resulting in you gaining 30% Soul Style per person affected. In addition, End the Cycle will automatically execute at 40% remaining HP instead of 30%. Also gain overall increased damage and defense.

Maximum Technique

Maximum Technique: Black Flash Beatdown

Scaling: Technique Stat Buff: Increases damage by 10%, focus gain by 25%, and increases the benefits of most Focus tree nodes by 50% for 90 seconds Guard Break Hyperarmor

Brutally beatdown your opponent with a flurry of powerful black flashes. Opponent will be debuffed and have their damage resistance decreased by 10% (Fragile status effect) for 30 seconds. Their Domain Expansion will also be put on cooldown for 30 seconds.

Requires you to have 3 black flash tokens to use.

Maximum Technique: End the Cycle (S-Rank Soul Style)

Scaling: Technique Stat Buff: Increases damage by 10%, focus gain by 25%, and increases the benefits of most Focus tree nodes by 50% for 45 seconds Guard Break Hyperarmor

Dash to your opponent, cutting them up before grabbing them from behind and brutally bashing their head in with your fist. At the end of the combo, your opponent will be turned into a blob for 15 seconds. During this time, they cannot use abilities or rush. The opponent will also have their damage resistance decreased by 10% (Fragile status effect) for 30 seconds. Their Domain Expansion will also be put on cooldown for 30 seconds.

Bonus Effect: If opponent is below 30% HP, they will immediately die. If used within Hometown Memories Domain Expansion, they will die at 40% HP instead.

Requires you to have 3 black flash tokens to use.
