Focus Skill Tree

This skill tree unlocks your ability to utilize the focus mechanic, as well as granting you access to using black flash. Various buffs can be given to your black flashes with this skill tree and can be vital to builds.

Some skills have to be upgraded up to 3 times in order to continue down the skill tree. The increase of these upgrades are viewed as “+x/+x/+x” values on the skill’s description.

Focus Awaken

Unlocks the focus tree, granting you 3 bars of focus. Also unlocks your ability to perform Black Flash. Heavenly Restriction users are able to use their own variant of this. View the Black Flash guide to learn how to use

Focus Buffs

Focus Increase 1

Improves your black flash damage output by +1/+2/+3

Focus Increase 2

Improves your black flash damage output by +1/+2/+3

Focus Increase 3

Improves your black flash damage output by +1/+2/+3

Focus Increase 4

Improves your black flash damage output by +1/+2/+3

Focus Token 1

Gives you an extra bar of focus, totaling up to 4

Focus Token 2

Gives you an extra bar of focus, totaling up to 5

Black Flash Buffs

Black Flash Proficiency 1

Increase the damage of your black flashes by 103%/106%/110%

Black Flash Proficiency 2

Increase the damage of your black flashes by 113%/116%/120%

Black Flash Proficiency 3

Increase the damage of your black flashes by 123%/126%/130%

Vampiric Black Flash 1

For each landed black flash, heal 1% HP

Vampiric Black Flash 2

For each landed black flash, heal 1.3%/1.6%/2% HP

Vampiric Black Flash 3

For each landed black flash, heal 2.3%/2.6%/3% HP

Passive Abilities

Steady Focus

Your focus window becomes easier to hit, but your black flashes deal 10% less damage. Requires Advanced Focus Trainer training.

Forgiving Rhythm

Hitting 2%/1.4%/6% outside of the focus winow will still count as a success. Requires Advanced Focus Trainer training.

Lock In

Permanently gain a .25 increase in focus gain

Total Concentration

Upon landing a black flash, you will enter a state of total concentration for 5/10/15 seconds. This is visible by a dark aura that surrounds your avatar and glowing eyes. During this time, your damage is buffed by 5% and your move cooldowns are 10% shorter

The Sparks of Black

You have the ability to use three new types of Black Flashes

M2 + Space will shoot your opponent into the air. If used in the air, perform a ground slam instead M2 + E will teleport you to your opponent and disable Reverse Curse Technique for 20 seconds M2 + R is a kick finisher and confiscates cursed techniques for 3 seconds You need a bar of focus to perform each of these

Successfully landing three black flashes using any of the above black flashes OR moves that are able to be black flashed will unleash a finisher
